Proverbs 23:7(KJV): For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

God has not designed men to be limited in language and speech. There are diverse ways He has created for men to speak and one of these is the tongue of the mind. In the spiritual realm, our thoughts are translated into words and they have the power to create, break, revive, kill or build.

This is why you should never underestimate the power of your thoughts. When you think something, you are actually speaking it out loud.

Don’t be deceived into assuming that simply because it is not spoken, then it has no power. If you think of yourself as sick, you are actually saying you are sick. If you think of yourself as poor, you are in essence declaring that you are poor. Like the scriptures teach us to tame the tongue of our mouths, we also have to tame the tongue of our minds. We do this through being deliberate in what we allow to linger in our thoughts. Choose to live by the creed in Philippians 4:8. Herein the Bible says, “whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
