Daniel 11:32(KJV): And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Some Christians judge ministers of the gospel only by the standard of whether what was said was pleasant to them or not. If you say anything that feels offensive to their ‘tender sensibilities’ they will be quick to write you off.

They prefer men and women whom our theme scripture says ‘corrupt with flatteries.’

A speaker can sound pleasant yet by God’s standard, he is in fact corrupting you. The pulpit and altar of God has not been designed to pander to what people prefer to hear. It is all about what God desires to communicate to convict the hearts of men. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17; “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” You must not be the kind of Christian who cannot take the truth merely because it is difficult to accept. Even rebuke and stern correction were meant to grow you. Hallelujah!
